Have you determined in your heart and mind that Jesus alone is the Savior of the world and that He has in fact become your personal Lord and Savior? Have you repented of living life without God, received His forgiveness and chosen to follow Christ’s leadership in your life? If you can answer yes to this, then by all means get baptized.
BAPTISM IS AN OUTWARD SYMBOL OF SOMETHING INVISIBLE HAVING
TRANSPIRED IN THE INWARD PART OF A PERSON.
New Christians are instructed in scripture to declare publicly the work of Christ in their lives. One way they do this, is through baptism. We use deep water to paint a picture. Water immersion is symbolic of the death (willfully putting yourself in God’s hands), burial (submerged under the surface of the water like in death) and the resurrection (rising up out of the water) declaring our new life in Christ.
Rom. 6:3-5 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.
Matt. 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
At CFC we welcome families to be baptized together if they so choose. Teens and kids are welcome to participate if they understand the expression and believe in Christ’s atoning sacrifice.
We generally hold baptisms twice a year (first and third quarters).
However if you'd like to get baptized immediately, we a happy to work with you
Next baptism is Sunday, August 13th

1.) What if I was baptized as an infant?
One thing we can have confidence in, water never hurts a baby. On the other hand, we must conclude that water has never been a path to heaven, only believing on Jesus can save the human soul. If a child is capable of repentance and deciding to follow Jesus as their Lord, then and only then can they be saved. This salvation must precede water baptism according to the Bible.
Remember, God’s great hand of mercy is extended to all babies who have yet to reach an age of accountability and if they should die they will go into God’s presence apart from water baptism.
2.) What if I was sprinkled?
We see clearly in scripture that the Greek word for baptism means immerse, enveloped or fully wet. However, we’re not going to become dogmatic about how much water there was, for it is merely a symbol and not the saving entity. Baptism is symbolic of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. If you can communicate that with a sprinkle of water then there is little struggle. If you would like to be immersed there is no flaw in that choice.
